Dr Caoimhe Glancy
Consultant Paediatrician with a specialist interest in Allergy

Caoimhe is a Consultant in Paediatric Medicine with a specialist interest in Allergic Diseases. Caoimhe obtained her medical degree (BMBS) and a degree in Biomedical Sciences (BMedSci) at the University of Nottingham.
Dr Glancy completed her specialist training in paediatrics in NI and was the first paediatrician in NI to complete specialist interest training in allergy through the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH).
Dr Glancy was appointed as a senior clinical fellow in Paediatric Allergy at the Bristol Royal Children's Hospital following a national recruitment process. In this role, Dr Glancy worked as senior member of the tertiary paediatric allergy team overseeing the care of patients with the most complex allergic conditions.
Through this unique fellowship, Dr Glancy has expertise in managing patients with allergic skin conditions, oral immunotherapy, including grass, tree, house dust mite and food oral immunotherapy.

Dr Glancy has worked in Australia, England and Northern Ireland. She is passionate about providing the most up to date information to her patients and has been the main author of many guidelines that have been published both in England and NI.
Dr Glancy worked as a consultant in the paediatric allergy team at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, before taking up post as a Consultant in Paediatric Medicine with a Specialist interest in Allergy in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust.

Providing advice and support for parents through weaning
Providing families with support and expert advice in infants with allergic concerns or intolerances.
Managing eczema and food allergies in infants
She is passionate in supporting parents in those early weeks and months when there are concerns regarding cows milk protein allergy or intolerances.
Dr Glancy is a committee member of the Ulster Paediatric Society. She is a member of British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (BSACI) and Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH). She has chaired national allergy conferences and continues to have well established links with tertiary allergy services both in the UK and Ireland.
Dr Glancy will use her experience, knowledge and expertise to differentiate allergic and non-allergic symptoms. From this consultation, together we will navigate your child's journey with the CACNI team.
