Sinead is an experienced children’s nurse working in the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. She is a member of the NMC and Royal College of Nursing.

 

After starting her career in Paediatric Intensive Care, Sinead moved into paediatric allergy where she was one of the founding nurses within the children’s allergy team at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. Sinead is passionate in delivering high quality care to her patients and their families.

 

Sinead has specific training in:

• Carrying out and interpreting skin prick tests

• Patient training including the management of anaphylaxis and the use of adrenaline autoinjector

• Optimising Inhaler technique

• Application of Intranasal steroids

• Application of emollients and topical steroids

• Writing BSACI action plans

• BSACI travel documents

• Advice and guidance on primary prevention of allergies

• Introducing foods into your child’s diet
